NEWS LEADERS AND LAGGARDS-----------------------------------------
So far today, NiSource, Citigroup, and Chevron lead the list of
companies with the most news stories while Royal Bank of Scotland
Group and ev3 Inc. are showing a spike in news. American Tower
Corp., Duke Energy Corp., and InterContinental Exchange Inc. have
the highest srtIndex scores to top the list of companies with
positive news while Nortel Networks and Ciena Corp. lead the list
of companies with negative news reports. CH Robinson Worldwide has
popped up with a high positive news sraIndex score.
MARKET OVERVIEW---------------------------------------------------
Overseas trading is looking positive this morning, as eight of nine
reporting Asian/Pacific markets are up and all nine reporting
European markets are up. The China Shanghai Composite is up 4.82%,
the Madrid General is up 1.59%, and the Austria ATX is up 1.54%,
while the Philippines PSE Composite is down 0.98%.
Oil futures are moving quickly so far this morning and at last
check are higher on the session by about 0.50 to 113. Gold is also
rising slightly.
