positive news, while Ciena Corporation (CIEN), Fifth Third Bancorp
(FITB), and SINA Corporation (SINA) lead the list of companies with
negative news. Coca-Cola (KO), Boeing (BA), and BB&T Corp. (BBT)

MARKET OVERVIEW---------------------------------------------------
Overseas trading is in trouble this morning, as only two of the 10
foreign indexes that we track are in positive territory. The
cumulative average return on the collective stands at a loss of
0.49%. In Asia, most regional markets closed in the red, with
traders remaining cautious ahead of Friday's U.S. jobs data and
continued developments surrounding Greece's debt woes. Turning to
Europe, equities pulled back in early trading, led lower by energy
shares on weaker crude prices, and ahead of some interest rate
decisions in Europe and Friday's U.S. jobs numbers.
Economic data remains the focus among currency and commodities
traders this morning. The U.S. dollar and crude futures are both
hovering just above breakeven heading into the open, as weekly
initial jobless claims, housing data, and the fourth-quarter
productivity report will give traders a better grasp on the state
of the U.S.'s economic recovery. At last check, the U.S. Dollar
Index was up o.o9% at 80.05, while crude futures were up 0.11% at
$80.96 per barrel. Finally, gold is moderately lower in London,
with futures shedding $2.60 to trade at $1,140.70 an ounce.
PUT/CALL RATIO ---------------------------------------------------
Equity option activity on the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE)
saw 1,177,250 call contracts traded on Wednesday, compared to
759,691 put contracts. The resultant single-session put/call ratio
arrived at 0.65, while the 21-day moving average held at 0.67.
SUPPORT & RESISTANCE LEVELS --------------------------------------
The S&P Depository Receipts (SPY) show support in the neighborhood
of $109.50 and resistance around $115.10. For the Nasdaq 100
(QQQQ), support is near $43.80 and resistance is around $46.65.
