MARKET OVERVIEW---------------------------------------------------
Overseas trading is in fine shape this morning, as nine of the 10
foreign indexes that we track are in positive territory. The
cumulative average return on the collective stands at a gain of
0.86%. In Asia, stocks climbed, led by resources stocks, as demand
for riskier assets increased after Wall Street rallied on upbeat
U.S. earnings and economic data. In Europe, shares bounced back
from their weak start, following disappointing results from
drugmaker Roche, offsetting gains in the mining sector.

The U.S. dollar came under pressure once again yesterday, as
concerns over Greek debt eased, bolstering demand for the in the
euro. In pre-market activity, the U.S. Dollar Index is off 0.18%
at 78.88 in pre-market activity, as traders await today’s
employment data from ADP. And, while commodities trading is
expected to stick to a tight range ahead of Friday's January
employment data, anticipation ahead of today's report on U.S.
petroleum supplies has the March crude futures up 52 cents at
$77.75 per barrel in electronic trading. Finally, the recent
weakness in the dollar has been a boon for gold futures, and the
April contract is poised to extend its two-session rally, gaining
$1.60 to trade at $1,119.70 an ounce in overseas trading.
