NEWS LEADERS AND LAGGARDS-----------------------------------------
So far this morning, Yahoo! (YHOO), Boeing (BA), and Altera
Corporation (ALTR) lead the list of companies with positive news,
while Caterpillar (CAT), Toyota (TM), and WellPoint (WLP) lead the
list of companies with negative news. Best Buy (BBY), Kraft Foods
(KFT), and Amazon.com (AMZN) were upgraded this morning, while U.S.
Steel (X), McKesson (MCK), and Verizon (VZ) received downgrades.

MARKET OVERVIEW---------------------------------------------------
Overseas trading remains in poor shape this morning, with only two
of the 10 foreign indexes that we track in positive territory. The
cumulative average return on the collective stands at a loss of
0.80%. In Asia, the various markets suffered another day of
declines, with concerns about Chinese bank lending restrictions
sending Hong Kong and Shanghai shares further lower. Turning to
Europe, shares dropped, down for the fifth time in six sessions, as
banks were sharply lower again.

Crude futures retreated yesterday on revived concerns about China's
efforts to curb lending, which could lead to easing oil demand.
Furthermore, commodities traders braced for an expected increase in
domestic oil inventories, with the government expected to report
weekly supply stats later today.

PUT/CALL RATIO ---------------------------------------------------
Equity option activity on the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE)
saw 1,435,276 call contracts traded on Tuesday, compared to 935,524
put contracts. The resultant single-session put/call ratio arrived
at 0.65, while the 21-day moving average held at 0.59.

SUPPORT & RESISTANCE LEVELS --------------------------------------
The S&P Depository Receipts (SPY) show support in the neighborhood
of $109.05 and resistance around $115.15. For the Nasdaq 100
(QQQQ), support is near $44.05 and resistance is around $46.65.
